PositionSummary

This Associate of Teaching and AcademicActivities is a unique position designed for Master’s level graduates and youngprofessionals who have recently completed their academic programs. The roleentails a combination of teaching and other academic support responsibilities.It is a great opportunity for cultivating teaching, leadership, projectmanagement, and teamwork skills.

Candidates must be excellent in English andshould have received high distinction during their college education and/orearly professional careers. We also value evidence of initiative, judgment, andskill working with people from different cultures.

The main responsibilitiesinclude:

S/he will work for both NYU Shanghai Businessand NYU Shanghai Center for Business Education and Research (CBER).

Providing TeachingSupport in Business

●Offering OfficeHours

●Conducting help sessions

●Grading homework and exams

●Leading group discussions

SupportingAcademic and Research Activities

● Assisting the logistics ofacademic activities in Business and CBER, including seminars, talk series,forums, and conferences.

● Assisting the logistics of research activities at CBER and otheracademic tasks at CBER and Business, such as the NYU Shanghai Business HonorsProgram, university-wide training workshops, other possible projects, andprograms required by NYU Stern’s operation in Shanghai.

Qualification

Required Education

●Master’s degree orabove preferred; majors in Business, Economics, Statistics, Finance,Accounting, or Data Analytics related areas are preferred.

●Excellent academicrecord

RequiredExperience

●Knowledge andexperience with higher education and multicultural work environment.

●Previous tutoringor teaching experience preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

●Excellent inEnglish and fluent in Mandarin preferred.

●Strongcommunication and writing skills.

●Excellentinterpersonal and organizational skills.

●Advanced PC and/orMac skills (including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, database applications andInternet research skills).

●Webpage andcontent management.

●Capable ofdeveloping effective relationships with faculty, students, academicadministrators, and external visitors or parties to deliver courses and eventssuccessfully.

●Demonstratedability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
