取消文科？高校自主招生的这条新闻靠谱吗？

距离今年高考只有几十天的时间了，有不少考生都在密切关注高校自主招生的新动向。上月底，相关学校陆续发布招生简章，然而下面的一则消息却引发了网友们的强势围观↓↓↓



日前，多家高校发布自主招生简章，最令大家关注的莫过于“取消文科”这一说法。

The brochures handed out by many top universities have triggered backlash online – people noticed that a few top universities canceled tests for the liberal arts this year.

比如清华大学3月28号发布的自主招生简章中，就包含了工程、信息技术、经济等相关专业。而人文与社会类、法学类等2018年自主招生中出现的文科专业都被取消了。




Tsinghua University, for example, will recruit students who want to apply to engineering, information technology, economics and other science-related subjects. The humanities, social sciences and the law – which were tested in 2018 – are not included anymore.

再比如，山东大学今年的自主招生计划中，也没有了哲学类、文史相关专业，数学类、电子信息类以及软件工程等专业得以保留。

Meanwhile, Shandong University has canceled tests for philosophy, Chinese literature and history, while math, information technology and engineering remain.

这些消息都引发了网友的担心，比如文科学生是否不能再参加自主招生？是否涉嫌对文科生的歧视？更有文科生对未来感到担忧，感觉自己不被重视。

Netizens are saying that such actions constitute discrimination against liberal arts students. Many argue that those who have achievements and talents in literature and the social sciences will no longer be allowed to take part in the independent tests. Many have expressed pessimism over the future of liberal arts students, claiming that China's education system no longer values the arts.

然而，真的如此吗？其实，这可能是对招生简章的误读：

还是在清华大学的简章中，就明确表示“学生不受自身文理分科限制”，也就是说诸如经济、金融以及建筑类专业，均对文理学生开放。

However, this is a misunderstanding of the new rule. Even though liberal arts subjects are not included, their students are still qualified to apply for the tests. As the Tsinghua recruitment brochure states, subjects such as economics, finance and architecture are open to both liberal arts and science students. 

同时，网传“取消文科”专业的多为综合类大学，而有些以文科为主的学校，并没有取消文科专业的自主招生。比如今年北京大学的自主招生，包括天文类、计算机类和生物科学类等理科专业，而文科专业的历史学类、中国语言文学类、国际政治和考古学也依然在列。

Meanwhile, this doesn't apply to universities focusing on social sciences and the humanities. Peking University, however, are holding tests for science subjects such as astronomy, computer science and biology, as well as liberal arts subjects such as history, Chinese literature, international relations and archaeology.

由此可见，并非所有学校的自主招生都取消了文科专业，也并不是所有的文科学生都没有了参加自主招生的机会。

今年年初，教育部印发了《关于做好2019年高校自主招生工作的通知》，从招生政策、招生程序、加强监管等方面提出了规范高校自主招生的“十严格”要求，进一步增强高校选才的科学性和公平性。
 


因此，网友认为还是应该理性看问题：
 


除了专业调整，@中国之声分析表示，从多所高校已经公布的2019年自主招生简章来看，名额缩减、专业调整、门槛有所提高、优惠更趋严格、更重视体测等都将影响考生们的命运。而面对这样的变化，调整好心态才是更重要的。
